Savings through TES involvement in Warranty/OEM claims
TES support programs saved an operator over $90K per shop visit through pursuit of entitlement to OEM.
The Scenario
The operator had undertaken a number of shop visits where a certain baseline hardware configuration had been implemented, which unbeknown to the operator attracted a discount on the purchase of the new configuration material via an OEM industry support program.
TES’ Service
Upon learning of the campaign being undertaken by the operator to upgrade to the new hardware configuration, TES based on their knowledge of the OEM support program, recommended that the operator retrospectively apply for the available credit. Due to the size of their fleet, TES also recommended that the OEM agree terms for further reimbursement at subsequent shop visits.
The Outcome
Following TES’ advice, the operator was able to retrospectively recover $90K from the OEM. The operator has now also implemented agreed terms with the OEM for this credit to be applied at each shop visit in the future, meaning a reduction in maintenance cost of $90K at each subsequent shop visit.
