TES Aviation Group, the original Total Engine Support, has established a partnership with National Air Cargo Group, Inc., to utilise their proven engine type experience to manage the airlines CF6-80 and RB211-535 engine fleet program.

National Airlines based in Ypsilanti, Michigan has outlined a dynamic fleet renewal plan to cater for the company’s expanding charter and air freight business. Understanding the requirement to protect the asset value of each anticipated aircraft addition, National recognised the need to partner with an established engine specific service provider capable of providing a platform service of engineering/ lease engine and material support.

Mr. Ashley Cooper, Chief Executive Officer of TES Aviation Group, said, “We are delighted to welcome National Air Cargo Group, Inc., as the latest client of the TES integrated fleet management program. TES Opens New Facility in Singapore

TES Aviation Group, the leading aircraft engine asset management service provider, is expanding globally with the opening of a new facility in Singapore, its first outside the UK.

The state of the art facility offers TES the ability to provide a range of platform solutions to its Asia Pacific partners underpinned by the organisational excellence that is the corner stone of the TES business. Based close to Changi Airport the 9,000sqft facility provides warehousing, logistics, parts and engine storage as well as engineering fleet management services to the growing TES customer base in the region. Additional services will be added over time to supplement the Asia Pacific offering.

TES has been successfully supporting its Asia Pacific client base for over ten years utilising resources from its UK HQ and by deploying seconded personnel into selected client locations in the region. With a total of twelve employees, including experienced Engineers, Warehousing/Logistics Personnel and a Materials Sales team, the new Singapore facility is an important milestone in the company’s ongoing growth plans.

In line with the expansion of the franchise, TES is now able to offer a wider, more integrated platform solution to its client base, bringing together engineering expertise, with long term client program management, maintenance, repair and overhaul management, overhauled condition piece parts supply and short term lease engine provision. In addition TES has widened its product reach, expanding significantly in CF6-80C2, PW4000, CFM56 Series, V2500 Series and RB211-535E4 engine types.

In establishing its new facility, TES is making a multi-million dollar investment in Singapore. This investment is not only creating employment for Singaporeans but brings to Singapore unique skills that, until now, have not been available to the many start-ups, operators, leasing companies and investors in the region who form the TES customer base. These skills include engine technical inspection and commercial management, engine fleet management, engine disassembly and piece part repair management and materials sales and distribution.

TES receives EASA Part 145 Approval

TES Aviation Group, the leading aircraft engine asset management service provider, today received its EASA Part 145 certification. The approval, reference UK.145.01226, enables TES to certify maintenance activities and is an important milestone in the company’s ongoing growth plans.

Ashley Cooper, CEO of TES said “The ability to provide EASA 145 services to our global partners adds significantly to our existing array of platform solutions, and takes us a step closer to the Ultimate Total Engine Support offering.”
He added, “We will be building on our initial scope in diversifying both the range of services and the breadth of engine products that we cover.”

The initial scope of EASA 145 activities enables certification of borescope inspections on the RB211-535E4, PW4000-94” series and CFM56 series engines. In addition on the 535E4, the scope extends to component removal and replacement, fan blade changes, fan modules changes, gearbox module changes.

TES to Support PT Sriwijaya Air

Jakarta based PT Sriwijaya Air is the latest customer to sign up to a Fleet Management Program offered by TES Aviation Group. The five year contract will see TES supply engine technical services, lease engine and material support for Sriwijaya Air’s CFM56-3 powered B737-300 fleet.

Speaking on behalf of Sriwijaya Air, Cpt. Harwick Lahunduitan, VP remarked “our partnership with TES provides us with leading technical and logistical support and another way to provide visibility and control of Engineering and Engine Maintenance costs.”

This program coincides with the UK based TES Aviation Group opening a facility in Singapore. “It is exciting times at TES and the launch of our Singapore franchise to support the platform of TES services is a significant step” says Ashley Cooper, CEO. He added “to have an expanding and forward thinking operator in Sriwijaya Air as our first Asia Pacific FMP customer is very gratifying. We look forward to playing a major part in their cost competitiveness and significant regional growth”

TES Opens New Corporate HQ in Bridgend

TES Aviation Group’s new corporate headquarters was officially opened on 5th June, by The Right Honourable Rhodri Morgan AM, First Minister for Wales. The company moved their existing offices in Rhondda Cynon Taff and St. Athan to one larger facility in Bridgend, in order to provide a foundation for their significant growth plans over the coming four years.

Ashley Cooper, the CEO of TES, said

"We have been searching for a suitable site to combine our requirement of 30,000 square foot of corporate offices and 60,000+ square foot of warehouse and operations space. This facility provides our ideal accommodation mix to co-locate our two existing sites. We are extremely excited about our move to Bridgend and the benefits the new facility will bring."

Speaking before an assembled group of customers, suppliers and other dignitaries which included Cllr Mel Nott Leader of Bridgend County Borough Council, The Rt. Hon Rhodri Morgan talked about the opening of TES' original offices in the Valley’s Innovation Centre in Abercynon in 2001.

"It has been eight years since I opened the original TES office at the Valleys Innovation Centre in Abercynon. Since then the premises have grown by some 3000% to the current 130,000 sq ft and incorporates aircraft engine dismantling, logistics and parts storage activities."

TES has grown to a staff of 100 and is now one of the world’s foremost providers of aircraft engine asset management services. As well as managing a client portfolio of aircraft engines valued in excess of $1.5Billion, TES offers an integrated management solution providing engineering services, aircraft engines for lease, as well as a broad range of aircraft engine parts .

The First Minister stated that

"It is very impressive to see a home-grown success story like TES succeeding so well in a global industry dominated by the big multi-nationals. We look forward to seeing them go forward and provide even more exciting job prospects over the next 5 years."

Mr Grabowski, Mr Skirrow and Mr Pirbhai from DVB all attended the event. Speaking at the opening Mr Grabowski, stated

"The value of an aircraft at the end of its’ economic life resides in the engines. Whoever controls and understands that value and controls the spare parts process, is effectively able to create value for their clients, and also for their shareholders in an area that is often overlooked by other aviation banks. This is the key reason that DVB invested in TES."

Mr Grabowski went on further to thank the First Minister, the Welsh Assembly Government and in particular the Knowledge Bank for Business (KB4B) for the support given to TES since its inception.

The event concluded with guided tours of the facility and a buffet served in a marquee located in the 60,000 sq ft warehouse and operations space.

TES Announces Increase In Company share capital

TES Aviation Group announces an increase in the Company's share capital by DVB Bank SE as part of an ongoing programme to increase funding facilities of the business for the acquisition of aircraft and engines.

TES purchases two RB211-535E4 Boeing 757 Aircraft

DVB aquires majority shareholdings in TES aviation

DVB Bank AG, which specialises in transport finance, announces that, effective 16 July 2007, in line with its aspiration to grow its aviation investment franchise, it has purchased a majority shareholding in TES Aviation Services Limited, a leading aircraft engine asset management service provider headquartered in Cardiff, South Wales, UK. TES, which was established in 1995, has developed under the private ownership of founders Bob James and Ashley Cooper to a highly respected, global business employing 51 people. The TES Aviation Group offers innovative commercial and technical solutions to owners and operators of commercial aircraft engines, and advice in general to the aviation financial community

TES has grown significantly since its formation in 1995 with currently two premises at the Engineering / HQ at the Innovation Centre, Abercynon and at its 50,000 sq ft engine dis-assembly facility at RAF St Athan. Ashley Cooper said:

Grant Thornton Corporate Finance in Cardiff were retained by the TES shareholders to lead the international process of finding a suitable equity partner to facilitate the business growth. The Grant Thornton team led by Paul Oldham and Trefor Griffith said:

Airbus Asset Management retains TES for 3 years

UK based, TES Aviation Group, are pleased to announce the renewal of the Engine Fleet Management contract with Airbus S.A.S for a further 3 years, effective as of 20th November 2006.

Under this contract, TES will continue to provide a range of engine asset management services for Airbus’ leased aircraft portfolio.

TES is delighted that Airbus has decided to renew the contract and look forward to continuing their longstanding relationship.

The TES Engine Lessor Management Program provides full technical and commercial tracking and forward forecasting of the risks associated with leasing and operation of turbine engines. The programs are managed via the EFPAC™ (Engine Fleet Planning & Costing) software system and are focused on retention of asset value across a leased portfolio, minimising risks and reducing overall cost of operation.
